With the help of the 2004 and 2008 WORLD BOARD CHAMPIONS, the Racing Mals are the best at catching runners, surfing on waves and going out through the surf. The sleek design is a proven winner, being riden to the 2008 World Board Title, 2008/09 Coolangatta Gold Title, and 2008/9 Queensland Open State Board title.

Although our business has only been around for a short time, our boards have already proven they are a winning design and lead the world in performance. In July 2008, Daniel Carruthers rode an Xcel Surfcraft Racing Mal to victory in Germany at the 2008 World Titles. 

Caine Eckstein who is arguably the best endurance athlete in the sport after winning the 2005, 2008 and 2009 Coolangatta Gold’s is also an ambassador for Xcel Surfcraft. Caine used an Xcel Surfcraft Racing Mal in the 2008 and 2009 Coolangatta Gold’s and produced the fastest board leg out of any competitor (including team event paddlers).

The new Dean Mercer Lay Down Paddle Board was paddled by Dean himself on the way to 2^nd Place in the 2009 Coolangatta Gold. Through extensive research and testing we feel we have come up with the fastest lay down board on the market.
